WTF? Why not call up Pence? Or, like DaDa suggested, House?

i caught the whole thing actually,

what a great time by fsn to play this huh? team is pretty much out so they nd to show something to continue the spirit.

anyways, it was a magical season last year as they showed the ups and downs of the season and playoffs, which is something i will never forget.
But this team needs a new identity going into next season, need to get a couple of really nice hitters and build around berkman and oswalt. We shall see what the pup can do in the offseason and how much money mclane is willing to spend because i would hate to have to sit through another season like this or worse!

They don't need to send anyone down because rosters expand in September.

Pence is not on the 40-man roster (which is full), so they'd have to make room, most likely by moving Backe to the 60-day DL (Pence has to be added this winter, regardless). I'd imagine they want to give Pence at least a couple of days off, and then he'll be up.

Allrighty then. Phillie scored but it's okay. We can't play any worse than the Texans today.

Wandy has NO BUSINESS being in the major leagues. He sucks, & he always has.

    Most likely, he always will.

The Astros are playing like a team that is dead.

At this point, they pretty much are.

They could win the rest of their games, run the table, and unless a team in front of them has a major collapse, they still won't get in.

Yay...swept by the Phillies in the stretch. Now that is being clutch!

    sigh.

I love my stros, but we're done for this season. I really hope they make some good moves this offseason. Let Roger retire, he's done. bring back Andy if he has another year in him. And don't bring back wandy as a starter...please.

i'm going to have to disagree.... dont bring back wandy at all... or lidge for that matter.

atleast bidge ended his hitless streak today... one closer to 3000, one closer to letting burke play everyday.

Exactly what I said previously. He sucks with a capital S. Reminds me of Bob Knepper. Historians here will remember how bad he sucked.

I still believe in them. They may not win another game this season, but they will continuer to play their hearts out for us. I am thankful they at least tried.
