Or it could just be Yates takes more chances than Hoyer. All I see from Hoyer is check down after check down.
I keep hearing people talking about how bad of a OC Godsey. What exactly is wrong with his play calling? No one ever goes into details cause they don't know what they're talking about. It's not like he's got much to work. Mediocre O-line, no RB, TE, garbage journeyman in hoyer.
So why is it when Yates is the starting, there are more plays downfeild. You are not going to beat NE with check downs and cute wildcard formations. You need to throw downfeild.
Much like most play-callers... he's bad when the plays don't work, and good when they do. I have no problem with them trying to establish the run... but I do have a problem with gameplans that feature re-runs of gimmicks that are really only effective if the other team has never seen it (the wildcat).
How in the hell do the pats get away with so many picks? Take that away from them and they are average at best
