I don't think last week was the biggest game franchise history. Important game but not the biggest.

No, any of our previous four losses were bigger games than last week (Jax, Ten, Ind x2). THOSE were the biggest games in franchise history (and I hate when people say that about every big game), and we blew them. Particularly the last three.

Last week was important given the circumstances, but IMO we lost the most important games that we needed to win. This takes nothing away from what they did on Sunday, just saying.

I'm hoping for you guys to pull it off, Broncos fan here. I rather have the scenario where you guys win and either Jets or Ravens lose.

In the NFL every game is as important as the next. I hate when people think one game is more important then another. There are only 16 games, you should be playing like its a playoff game every week!

I'll take both of them losing. And us winning of course. I think I could live with that. Hopefully Sanchez can help the Bengals and the Raiders can play spoiler one more time this year.

I see you guys winning against Patriots, since it's at your home and because of Andre Johnson. I don't know about Raiders, I gotta feeling they might tank to ruin Broncos chances. Jets game will depend on the Texans game, I mean if Patriots win, Bengals have nothing to play for, because they'll be 4th seed regardless.

    GO TEXANS!!

I will be happy if the texans win this, even if they left out because they will have 9-7 for the first time.

and btw this is the first time ever that they the enter to the week 17, with a winning record! :)

This certainly wouldn't break my heart if that was the outcome.

Did anybody hear Steelers LB LaMarr Woodley's comments about the Bengals and Pats? He basically called them out by predicting that they'll "lay down" rather than play to win. He also commented on how the Steelers played all their starters in a lopsided 31-0 blowout against Cleveland last year -- that Ben got hurt in, no less.

    Very interesting.....

well, there is a lot on the line, too many games slipped away and could bite them, but if NE rests starters, Texans should win and would a lot of help...

    Texans: 35

    NE: 28

I can’t believe how many people here are hoping NE rests their starters. What a hollow victory that would be. Don’t we already have enough of those in our history?

I wouldn’t even feel right about being 9-7 knowing that the last game was our starters vs. NE’s backups – even with the off chance that we make the playoffs. That’s just a loser’s mentality. I hope we Texan fans are better than that.

I want NE to play their starters the whole game. I want to beat them fair and square.

I want to make the playoffs first, beat a full-force New England team second.

If we win, we can get a second chance of beating them with their starters the following week (wild card)

    that's good enough for me

Well if that plays out, maybe the Raiders will end up winning. I don't think they can even TANK right! As for Cincy, I agree with that. We win and I think they shoot for more playing time. My only hope on the Chiefs is that its a division game. They did also play the Bengals tough last week. Stranger things have happened, just look at last year with Philly.

I'd agree that it'd feel bad for a day or an hour, but realizing that the Texans would have a week 18 should sweeten that bitterness. Imagine if they win their wild card game, week 17 would be a distant memory.

    Belichick tells Brady he'll play

"As players, we obviously don't factor into any of those decisions that coach Belichick makes," Brady said. "It's our job to prepare to play and I certainly am. I'm out there doing all my regular practice stuff.

"I want to play and I want to do great. I want to have a great game against a team that is fighting for their playoff lives, and has a lot of great players and really challenges you in some different ways. It's a meaningful game for us, it's a meaningful game for them, too. It would be great for us to go win on the road in a real tough environment against a damn good team."

Texans will have to FINALLY put two halves together to win this one. I would love to see that happen; but based on past experience.....

    GO TEXANS!!!!

Love Brady's comments about playing. That said I think unless its a nail-biter, they'll be out by the end of the third. Man it would be nice to get a big lead on them early and hold it.

Most stats would have us with a good shot of winning, but I don't have faith in the secondary. Also we seem to really like 8-8. Here's hoping though.
