So, the Patriots have a kicker who can make extra points and is 2-2 from beyond 40, both directly down the middle. The Texans have a guy who can't even make extra points. I'm not saying I think Kubiak should be fired, but I do think he could have a little bit more of a killer instinct, both in terms of gameplans as well as player management. The Cowboys weren't afraid to let Nick Folk go during the season.
Quarterbacks, Kickers, Punters all are protected differently as far as rules. I am not saying I agree, I am just saying you should understand it's different for them according to the No Fun League.
He knew Hoyer was about to throw the ball, so he had to get to the point as quickly as he could. That means a dive, which by definition puts arms and head first. It's common sense.
Isn't that ironic? We have tackling woes, but we misuse our body parts to tackle... and get penalized for them...
You're not making sense according to which rule he broke. Did he go at his head? Nope. Did lead with his head? (you CAN lead with your shoulder) Nope. Did he hit him late? Questionable at best.
Kris Brown on the waiver wire next to Nick Folk. Yes, I still feel that way even if he drills a 56-yarder here.
No he didn't. He left his feet as the ball was leaving the QB's hand. He turned himself away from the QB and went airborne to launch his shoulder into the QB. Have you ever seen an actual sack that looks anything like that? It was an attempt to hit the QB as hard as he could, pure and simple. The hit came after the ball was gone. Personal foul every single time. You may not like the NFL rule, but that's about as clear cut as it gets as far roughing the passer goes.
