You don't see any hate directed at the starters (particularly Harden) for not giving Lin the ball enough or "letting him play PG"? You don't see a giant "Fire McHale" thread where self proclaimed Lin fans claim racism and a secret coaching agenda are keeping Lin from putting up 28/12 every night? You haven't read any of the "trade Lin, he's better off elsewhere where a team plays to his strengths" posts? I think you need to read a little more closely my friend. The reason Lin is brought up in every thread (again, isn't this thread for Pat?) is because some posters simply cannot see beyond him. They can't fathom that he's not starting. His success means more to them than the Rockets and the NBA in general. I've tried to be sympathetic to that PoV. Maybe some people just don't know any better, right? So I have a hard time blaming them. Until they start calling out and disrespecting the team I've suffered and celebrated with for over 20 years. Tolerance only goes so far.
Certainly. He's so cheap for the dirty work he's done. As long as he's not getting paid more than 3 million, we should keep him.
Bro, you shouldn't use the broken hand excuse, THAT IS LAME. The minute he's been available to play, it means that broken hand is not an issue again. Probably wise if use the sentence like off night or whatever excuse to cover his ****
^^^ I agree cant use that as an excuse but he said after his first game back that it wasnt 100% while he did suck tonight he had the big stop at the end too though
Let's be serious LOF's used the knee injury to Jeremy as an excuse for the 1st half of last season. Pat was off tonight. It happens. Although both our PG'S MIGHT be backups... Pat is clearly the better starting option and much more consistent.
I'll just make a plea here before this gets real ugly: This is not a Lin vs Bev thing - this is a good coaching vs bad coaching thing. Please don't make it what it isn't - the players are in no way responsible for their rotations and they both play their hearts out for us fans and the team every night. We should be happy to have them both, I know I am. Ok, you may proceed to sling stuff at each other now.
Both players have bad nights. You have to realize that morey and his staff see all this, they crunch numbers like no other analytic staff in the league. They will let Mchale know whether lineups are working or not. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to help with Mchale's choice in rotations, plays, and lineups. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Give it time, because you have to be confident in the staff to see all of this.

Zach Lowe with some nice words: 9. The Patrick Beverley Experience Apologies to everyone in Oklahoma City, but watching this guy play lately has been electric. He’s a one-man press capable of pickpockets anywhere on the court, he’s maybe too confident in his ability to go chest-to-chest on defense without fouling, and he’s been knocking down his 3s over the last couple weeks. That part of his game has been a bit of a disappointment. He’s shooting only 34.7 percent from 3-point range, slightly below the league’s average, and a very disappointing 32.9 percent on the easier corner 3s. But he’s hit at least half his 3s in six of his last 10 games. He won’t keep that up, but if he hones his 3-point shot into a slightly finer weapon, the Rockets have a very dangerous player.
