No im not upset, im just saying what is really going in this board...5 good games of Lin is just nothing based on my observation here in CF with Pbev 1 spectacular game...pbev right away concluded as better fit to Harden lols...look at Mchale, he starts Pbev right away even though he came from injury...all along we Jlin fans are right that Mchale really dont like Lin at all and majority of the fans here in Houston as well...but that is fine
The "better fit" point has been established literally at the beginning of the season. You can look up the performances of the 5 man lineup with Beverley and with Lin, and the production is superior (defensively and offensively) with Beverley. McHale is trying to maximize Lin's abilities by having him come off the bench as the primary ball handler and playmaker, or would you prefer he continued to defer to Harden?

THIS /thread why do LOFs not understand this? It's nothing against freaking lin or that he hates him. Lin can't do what he wants when harden is on the court, and every real rocket fan is going to pick harden over lin 99.9999% of the time. So why not give him a chance to show himself when harden is not on the court? He got several of those chances last night and did nothing. What more do they want?
Clearly it's not fine or you wouldn't be ranting about it. You seem to have missed a key point in this discussion. Namely, that most players don't lose their starting job to injury. When a starter returns from injury he's still the starter. The injury was why he was benched, that's it. Now in this case the Lin/Beverley debate has been a hotly contested topic here so it's not surprising that some people are upset. But you make an awful lot of assumptions here. "McHale really don't like Lin", "majority of the fans here in Houston as well", "Pbev one spectacular game". I don't doubt that you really believe all those things but that doesn't make them true.
You picked a bad game to start trolling after. Wait until Bev has an off night and Lin scores well, then your trolling will be more effective.
You need help if you honestly believe Mchale hates Lin. Bev right away is concluded a better fit? Right away really? It wasn't the game film of all last year and this year that concluded that. Love PBev, Players may be more talented than him but he is tough, hustles for everything (which in ineffectious), gets those lose rebounds at the PG position, willing to defer and do little things for us to win. He may get scored on, but it's not because the PG blows by him. I like Bev, because he looks like it matters to him. W/o PBev tonight the Rockets would have blown 2 big leads.
That is the curse of having such an annoying fan base when you are only a mediocre fan base. Lin's fans make Lin very unlikable as a player. It is basically the Tebow affect only Lin at least doesn't suck as a player like Tebow does.
Who do you love more! Rockets or Lin. If it is the Rockets then this conversation is irrelevant. If it's Lin then you're wasting your time.
What is the average playing time of James? Lin is subbing Pbev, not james...even if Lin is in , james is still there, so which bench Lin taking care of? lols Ok but i understand, this is CF and majority of the fans here doesnt like Lin...You are fooling yourself if you believed Mchale think highly of Lin...Lin was able to get some playing minutes this last few games when Bev is out because Mchale have no other choice but t0 play him...You may call me Lof, but u cant deny how this organization marginalizing Lin...yes i believed Houston Rockets will choose Harden over Lin like one fan stated here which validates my assumption the continues bad treatment of rockets to Lin..
Lin does get it tougher than most players on here but it's a result of his fanbase as Chenjy9 alluded to. He would probably be a fan favorite since he's such a likable guy off the court. As for the coaching staff. It's true Lin has a shorter leash than any other player but he had the opportunity to take advantage of Bev's injury and failed badly with below par performance after another. Still adamant we should have moved Lin while his value was at it's peak. Since he got injured he's looked a completely different player than the one that started the year on fire and is showing no signs of improvement whatsoever. The turnovers, boneheaded plays, bricks and matador defense are all still glaring flaws of his game.
That's funny. He didn't play well last night and the majority of posts I see are positives about us winning (And Beverley's great first game back). In fact, isn't this the PATRICK BEVERLEY APPRECIATION THREAD? Pat has had his stinkers of a game for sure, and he's called out for them here. But last night he was very good and deserves credit. Lin gets the same credit from Rockets fans when he performs well.
