what’s a harder save? 8-9-1 with no one on or 2-3-4 with a man on second? nothing so far in this game should give anyone confidence our 2-3-4 will score a run. Much more likely 5-6-7 does it with a man on 2nd in the 10th. and, yes, I said all this before it happened. So damn predictable
And there you go. Just as predicted. now the Padres will get another run or two. The Astros will score one that would have been the winner had Pressly been on to hold the 10th. that’s how it was always going to play out. I’m so done with Dusty.
And just like that, as predictable as can be... **** you, Dusty. You're a great guy, I'm glad they hired you for last year (in hindsight it was a terrible hire now that I think about it) but you have no ****ing business managing this team. None.
Love the intentional walk. Pray for the double play. One run with Stanek on the mound in extra innings would practically be a miracle.
If the Astros lose this game, its because they couldn’t drive in runs... partly because two of their best hitters are injured (with one not on the IL but also not available to pinch hit).
I'm so ****ing pissed right now...8 ****ing pitches? better take him out. Don't get me started on the ******* ghostrunner. It changes the entire game. **** you, MLB.
I’m guessing the data is suggesting the extra inning rule is cutting down on overall time of extra inning games. By that logic, why not make all games 7 innings (if they’re worried about games taking too long)? In the end, baseball is going to trip all over themselves trying to make the game “more appealing”. Newsflash, Manfred... this game is going on more than 4 hours already. Everybody watching right now would have been watching before the rule change.
