He didn't have to ****ing lean, he just had to not actively avoid it. Pitcher basically tried to hit him, and he's wearing a giant elbow pad.
Altuve ducking game ending HBP: 1.000 The Pirates 1B idiot the other day who didn't know the outs or the rules and started a rundown between 1st and home has nothing on the ****ing total stupidity of Jose Altuve tonight.
Blake Taylor looking like he will fit right in with this bullpen after his performance tonight in Sugar Land. 1 IP, 1 ER, 3H
I wasn't there so I don't know if they were bad plays by the infielders or what. One infield hit was to 2nd and the other was to Toro at 3rd.
It’s been a good 40 years but I recall being told unless it’s headed to above the neck stand in and take it and especially if the bases are juiced. So yea JA either went brain dead or instincts kicked in and he just moved but knowing the situation obviously went out the window
If it's going at your thigh to ass to ribs you take it, cause there's not much you can do anyway. It is scary as **** though, and I can't imagine anything over 85 straight at me. Conforto won the game and he had to sell it to do it. All Altuve had to do was stand there.
As early as 6yo, we teach the kids to get the hell out the way if a ball is coming your way. It's not worth it. By the time you're a pro, it's 2nd nature to get out the way. I can't blame Altuve for not wanting to get hit by a pitch. I can blame him for his crappy play today though. Altuve simply didn't look right tonight. It's crazy how contagious hitting is. Just a couple of weeks ago, everyone was hitting the ball. Now, everyone appears to be struggling at the plate.
I wasn’t feeling well so I fell asleep a bit early. Prices we lost 3-10... figured our bullpen had a rough 6-9 innings..... hiw in the heck do you lose a game 3-10 in extras lol
I had to get sleep in the 7th inning. I knew we could easily blow a 1 run lead. But how could I expect to wake up and see 10-3? I hate old man's disease and having no ability to stay awake or to stay asleep.
