Sanchez had some sweet plays on the field tonight. Nice win. 1-0...for once we're on the right side of a low scoring game.
In the middle infield, we have 4 infinitely replaceable players: Hall, Barmes, Keppinger and Sanchez. With the way Sanchez is playing now and Kep played last year, Hall won't be starting when Barmes and Kep come back from injury. He's easily the worst out of the 4.
They're doing the "You Score as We Score" promotion for Saturday's game with field box tickets at $11. I'm going to try to jump on it. Hopefully they can draw a crowd. http://houston.astros.mlb.com/hou/ticketing/you_score.jsp
COLLEGE night tonight gives you about half off tickets in various sections of the stands: http://www.astros.com/college
And he survives it. Good win, pitching has been so much better on this homestand with our ace going tomorrow.
And they win the one we expected them to lose. Figgy delays the inevitable. Pretty good performance from him.
Amazing what a Padres line up can do for a few struggling starters. Love the way Bud and Nelson threw the ball. Kudos to Lee as well for the big catch, and as someone mentioned it's nice to see CJ finally get that big hit. Although he didn't hit as well as he's been, I'd like to see Matt at 2nd quite a 'bit more. The big question will be what happens when Kepp/Barmes get back. Be hard to take our best bat out of the line up, but Barmes needs a shot at some playing time. IMO, Hall is gone when Kepp gets back. Anxious to see the line up of... CF - Bourn 2B - Kepp (Or swap and put Sanchez here and switch him and Barmes position wise) RF - Hunter LF - Lee 1B - Wally 3B - CJ SS - Barmes C - J.R. Oh well, hopefully we can end the series on the right note with Myers on the hill. Go Stros!
Good to see CJ making some GOOD contact but JMike needs to read that ball better. Bill Hall SIGHTING!!!
