Uncle D needs to change his marketing strategy. It's more interesting to see how much this team can fail than if they can turn it around at this point. People like to keep track of records, even if they are for futility. Try a slogan like "How low can we go?" It's simple and to the point.
He's gonna play a huge role in our World Series runs over the next 3 years, starting this season. Just you wait, buddy.
It has gotten to the point that even if we choose to move Puma, right now his value is sooooooo low. Berkman needs to go on one of his tears and bring that value up, that is all teams are wanting to see.
Lindstrom has a real high walk rate over his career. That hasn't been a problem so far this season. Both batters worked full counts there. Bourn and Pence seem to have communication issues in the outfield. I'm leaning toward it being on Pence because I see the same issues with him and the 1st and 2nd basemen on short pops.
On another note, Pence continues to suck at stealing bases. He's gotten picked off about half of the time over his career. I can't see it being a speed issue. There are plenty of slower players who are much better at it.
Looks like a good call. Bourn's understandably frustrated. The umps blew 3 calls in the Zona series. That was a good call though.
Bourn is 2-for-17 with 1 walk over the last 5 games. Not a big sample size but probably his biggest slump of the season.
