WLW Wandy continues his home domination & Roy finally gets win #1. Moehler loses his rotation spot after this game. Sadly, the Astros activate Backe to replace him.
This should tell you how the season has gone so far: We are in May and Roy still hasn't gotten that first W
Gotta give it up for Wandy. By far the best story of this dismal season so far. He IS the current ace of this staff.
Just coming in here to say the same thing. 8 dominant innings tonight...no walks and 7 k's. His curveball is unhittable right now.
Some outstanding pitching by Wandy this year. Definitely a bright spot considering our team as a whole, lol :\. Cy-Oswalt needs to get it together as well.
I know it's the Padres, but another great start by our starter. Huge outing by Moehler, which justifies Cooper putting him back in there. Paulino is coming back into the rotation with Ortiz in the pen. Suddenly, Oswalt, Wandy, Paulino, Moehler, and Hampton doesn't look so awful.
Geary can join the club of Astros relievers who were good one year and totally blew chunks the next. Dan Miceli welcomes you with open arms, Geoff!
