Way to run ourselves out of an inning. Were we really planning a hit and run with Ausmus?

well they want to stay out of the double play and piazza has thrown out practically no one so i guess they figured it was a no lose situation. piazza happened to make probably his best throw of the season.

Yeah, but Everett took such a short lead. He was giving Piazza a chance at throwing him out. I can understand running on Piazza at every opportunity but I'm really disapointed with the result.

only we make getting out of a 1st and 3rd w/ no outs look so effortless. though piazza wasn't supposed to get the throw anywhere close to the bag, ausmus striking out on a slider in the same place he always strikes out on it wasn't a surprise.

on a positive note, my new phone is working.

Hirsh is having some control problems. 2 walks, alot of 3-2 counts, and 55 pitches thown through 2 1/3.

Probably is pitching away from contact... nervous about allowing anything, and trying to K everybody (and causing him to overthrow)

He'll soon learn to let his fielders play behind him.

OOOOOOHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Got lucky on that line drive. He's struggling a bit but hopefully we can get out the inning unscathed.

lol, i had already forgotten about the cameron out and thought there were only 2 outs after that strike out and wondering why hirsch was already walking off. huge to get out of that.

you pretty much expect a first time starter to be racking up the pitches and not to go very long so if we can just get 5 quality innings out of him it's all good.
