Cards get swept by the lowly Pirates, and we can only make up one game. This hurts. I hope we have a big rally in us, but I'm not seeing it against this bullpen and the 13-man team the Padres have going right now.
Which just goes to show you how truly unpredictable this season is. Sure, the Astros... if they play well... have a formidable team that could make some noise in the playoffs. But, they have to PLAY WELL to get there. The Cardinals are inconsistent.. the Reds are inconsistent. Whoever is inconsistent the least gets in... that shouldn't shock/dissapoint anyone anymore.
What is the deal... The pads can finish us in 30 seconds. We have to give up 2 freaking home runs! Astros lack the ability to just finish off a guy...
Don't you guys remember? The Padres have co-ownership of MMP with the Giants... don't believe that hotel/car rental tax thing. Those teams own this place.
**** THIS The Astros just don't have it...They just teased us a little bit...I don't care if its just two losses in a row...We just don't have it. STUPID SPRINGER !!!!!! They just lose their concentration...So the Padres are going to get this series...
Yeah, like when we couldn't close out the sweep against the Pirates. Or when we won 7 of our last 10. Good God, people. We're at worst 3.5 games out of the WC and 5 games out of the division lead with 44 games left in the season.
Well crap .. this loss hurts, but at least they are still in striking distance ... need to take care of business against the Cubs and they can get back to within a game or two.
UHM...The REDS are looking pretty good to me about now at least a hell of a lot better than the 3rd Highest payroll team in the majors.....
Oh no Rocketman I have to post angrily !!! My therapist told me its a good way to vent My Stros and Roxs frustrations...
Really? Are you watching how they're winning those games? They're just slugfests, featuring awful pitching by both the Phillies and Reds. I'll give them credit for staying in the hunt... but the Reds don't scare me/worry me as much as the Astros' beating themselves.
