These umpires are a joke. Now it's a bang-bang play identical to the one at first... except this time he's called safe. What a surprise.

I honestly think this is the worst umpired game I've ever watched.

    Unbelievable.

Everett is a god amongst mortals at fielding that position... truly sickening.

Now Backe walks in a run.....how fricken unprofessional have the Houston pitchers and batters been this year...unbelievable......

Can't get a guy at 3rd home with less than one out and we walk FAR too many hitters, especially Lidge.

No excuse for Backe to walk that guy with 4 pitches.

    This is unbelievable.

The umpires single-handedly take away a run from us when Everett was clearly safe. The umpires keep the inning alive for the Padres when Burke appeared to be first to the bag (and they owed us from the first blown call). Then the umpires single-handedly put a run on board for the Padres on a strike that was right down the plate.

Words can't describe what an injustice this is.

He didn't. That "ball four" was right down the plate. That run goes to Tim McClelland and whoever the second base umpire is.

Still should NEVER have been 3-0 as a count.....

We have to get at least ONE run back immediatly, I don't like our chances being down after 6 innings against their pen.

Yeah its kinda weird the way you can walk a guy with 4 pitches then strike the next guy out...

He didn't help himself out by being nowhere near the plate on the first 3 pitches... the last pitch was closer, but it wasn't a "absolutely for-sure" strike either.

I'm all for complaining about umpiring... but we need to be pitching/hitting better to win this game anyways.

I believe it's called baseball. Surprisingly enough, other pitchers on other teams have walked batters in the course of a 162-game season. The league is full of unprofessionals.

Amazing how many close calls there have been in this game. And even more amazing that they all seemed to show that we beat the opponent....and yet, they were all ruled against us.

There have been some amazing defensive plays tonight too.

    We need some runs.

Normally I could accept that logic and move on. But if the pitch they rang up Berkman on was a "absolutely for sure" strike, then so was that. Be consistent.
