The NL teams are at a disadvantage in that department; they don't play against Bregman often enough to know they can't get away with that. But it works both ways. I tend to think that yesterday's game would have ended up differently had the Astros been more familiar with the Padres pitching staff. Giants and Dodgers beat up on that staff regularly, but that largely because they are so familiar with it.

I know he has 2 HRs so far and we are 5-0 with him, but I had more faith in Beltran in our lineup last season than Marisnik this season.
