    I mean what more evidence do you need. These guys don't hold games. They aren't put into high leverage situations during the season, yet, there are high leverage situations in nearly all 162 games well before it's time to close.

    Entering a tie game does not gain you a 'hold'. Every single manager uses his closer at some point in the top of the 9th in a tie game. Why would any manager withhold a closer in the top of the 9th of a tie game as long as he is able to pitch?

    Granted the Toronto-Baltimore game was not a top of the inning tie scenario, but you act like closers only pitch in a save situation. Please refer to this box score from game one of the 2016 season. Britton entered in the top of the 9th of a tie game:
