Baltimore capitalized on bad fortune for Astros. Astros did not do the same. Though, I think getting 4 bad calls in such a short time period probably did affect the scoring of this system a little along with affect of Garcia getting knocked out early.
A's also about to go 3-4 against the Rangers in the past 10 days, thanks in no small part to Joey Gallo going completely apesh!t, he's hitting about .400 with 8HRs and 14 RBI in their last 10 games
It's just a standardized formula calculating run expectancy with and without a given bad call in a given situation. It's in no way a be-all-end-all, because by nature it cannot factor in anything outside of the above. Kinda like your spreadsheets.
