LOL. That shoe box is overflowing. I wonder if it was over SI's cover photos of the Angels and the Yanks that set him off.
This mop up crap has got to be tough for McHugh. It would be very understandable to me if he were more than a little disgruntled with his situation. It isn't as if he's done anything to not be MLB rotation worthy.
Kalas: "George Springer with 5 home runs in his last 6 games in that World Series..." Blum: "The guy that should've been moved out of the leadoff spot?"
My guess is that he will be moved to the first desperate team that suffers a bad starting pitching injury. Till then, Astros will try and give him plenty of semi-regular work... mop up duty vs emergency starter vs starter gets bounced early (really not expecting that last one).
I think they're going to hold on to McHugh. Luhnow has said numerous times they'll need 7-8 starters over the season. Throw in there's a good chance that they'll put Morton, LMJ and DK on the DL at some point during the season.
Astros haven't played in any close and late games so it's mostly been mop up duty for everyone in the bullpen.
Morton is so damn humble. Such a likable dude. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen such chemistry with a Houston team, ever. It’s pretty incredible.
So dominant A healthy rotation means the matchup advantage 90% of games. Then, the offense... 99%. 110 wins seems doable with same health as last season.
I might cheer for him. That ball to the face is a replay I'd rather not see again. All other traded players can suck though.
