yeah I'm pretty sure it's unreasonable to have doubt when your 15 games under .500

It is when it's still early in the season.

hmm yeah I'm not sure i get it either

because being so far under .500 means a long season potentially under .500

and even the most reasonable fan had doubt lol

I never really doubted them because it is 162 game season, sorry... the MLB season has a way of weeding out the "streakers" from the contenders, and it has proven that again. I would have certainly doubted them had they gone to the All-Star break and still be in a funk but they didn't. Solid pitching is what wins out in the end, and the NL west was a joke, all we had to worry about were the Cubs, Phils, Marlins, Nats and Braves for the Wild Card, with one of those winning the NL east. I knew the Nats would fall out, I never thought the Phils or Cubs could pull it out because of their pitchinig and truthfully I was only worried about the Marlins. I knew when Berkman came back and Pettitte got back on track we'd be okay and have a great shot at the Wild Card.

My signature seen below has been the same all season long, with the exception of an added katrina relief signature for a week or two...

i don't blame anyone for questioning when they were 15 games under...but geez, how many times in the past month or 2 have we seen the "woe is me...there's no hope...this team can't win it...blah blah blah." even after they came back, we had the, "there's no way they'll pull this off" bunch.

    bandwagon jumpers.

Yeah, I don't blame people for giving up when they started 15-30, but I don't know how many people have been "we suck, we're good, we suck, we're good" over and over and over the last two months.

I agree fully. Last year, I said I gave up the day before the 12 game win streak. I ended up saying that every night to Kaleidosky for the rest of that year. Some sort of anti-jinx or what not.

I said that exact thing this year at 15-30. I think I'm going to keep this going through the playoffs this year....

Um.. GO ASTROS! I love to be wrong when it comes to you guys!

On the side note. II agree with the whole thing once again about the negative reactions on every loss. It happens. I'm sure the White Sox looks so awesome right now, unless you keep up with them fully and find out how they almost blew it. This has been an AMAZING season so far! Let's see where our lineup and pitching brings us to! If they go out against the Braves, so be it. If they lose to St Louis or SD (I sincerely doubt it'll be them), oh well. If we go to the WS and lose there, it's our best year ever. If we win it... well, anyways. SUPPORT the team!!! This is NOt the time to talk about what money is or isn't spent. This is NOT the time to talk about how the Astros are hopeless with the bats. McLane said before the season that he'll try to put up a competitive product out there this season. Most people didn't believe him then and called this year a rebuilding year. This is beyond most people's believes. Team Chemistry, if anyone has it, it's the Astros. BELIEVE!

Now, I can go back and say that the Astros are done to Kaleidosky. I'll also quietly cheer every victory. (or loudly outdoors with all you Astros Fans!)
