    7ft tall center thats young and can play Defense in the paint while scolas weakness is his defense in the paint but can shoot jumpers

    I bet the Chicago GM is laughing his ass off right now. NO WAY they match this.

    If dumb ass Morey would have just taken Tyler Zeller in the draft when he fell in our lap, we wouldn't have had to waste ridiculous money on this clown.

    You guys are never pleased... Everybody wants a defensive, rim protecting C, everybody on here damn near cries for it at times and now we got one that we had to pay a slight premium for... Ok maybe hes not proven but are we really competing for a 'ship this season... prolly not.. unfortantly

    next season is a lost season for us anyway.

    We're just waiting for Mirotic to come from over-seas.

    Asik is easily replaceable for a lot less money.

    he's a BACK-UP Center.

    Zeller is stiff and doesn't have the defensive skills of Asik.

    on average hell be making about a million more than dalembert will..

    and there have been worse deals recently for centers.. see biedrins or deandre freakin jordan at over 10mil a year..

    see what you have in 2 years and then have a potential expiring contract on your hand if asik doesnt work out... not bad.

    You're the one in denial here creating an account just to downplay Asik. You're the one in denial saying all the people in Chicago doesn't want to match when RealGM's own freakin moderator says they need Asik. Are you just skipping all the people saying the team needs Asik? Seriously? Get out of here troll.

    If (good defensive, 7 foot) centers were not so rare in the NBA he is worth a little over $5 million per year. But since we are talking the center position $8 million is fair market value.

    Say we get Dwight and we have Asik back him up for a year and then if Dwight leaves we got a plan B.

    Or we just stick with Asik as the Starter which Is fine we have been missing a 7ft defensive player for awhile now. Remember how much Camby impacted us? Asik can be just like Camby minus the 15 foot jump shot. But he is younger, and you trust that your coach, one of the best big man ever, can coach him up a bit.

    But we must flip Lowry, Martin, Scola for what ever we can get can get!

    Would you guys rather sign Asik for 8million or Hibbert for the max? It looks like the pacers aren't going to match me he will be a trail blazer

    Sounds like 5 million 5 million and 15 million. That is pretty pricey...so much better than....

    "At Center 6'9 from Kentucky.... Paaaatrick Patterson!"

    If you can get Asik, resign Goran, resign Camby, make some other moves to balance the roster I think we can have a playoff team.

    Hawes is your backup option I think I am not nearly as high on him as Asik injury concerns and no where near the defender.
