Better than last year because we haven't signed a slew of injured players yet

If you can't see the link between my HOF slot receiver post and the ongoing back-and-forth about benching Andre Johnson, then there's no point with you. This has nothing to do with letting Andre go. It's about HOW it was handled. That was not a chance to stay. Either way, you've had enough fun for one day. Go find someone else to troll.

In the grand scheme of things, who cares? Even if the Texans were malicious/slanderous and basically threw him out with the bathwater, it wouldn't make one bit of difference to where this franchise is now and moving forward.

Who cares how are best player in history is treated? I do.

But you're right it doesn't matter to the team going forward. Our success will depend on our free agent signings and not screwing up more drafts.

He wasn't even treated badly. The only thing we did wrong was telling him he was going to retire a Texan, which made him believe we would give him the full worth of the rest of his contract. In reality, that was never going to happen.

Fair enough, I don't. Is it too soon to change the image in the top left to one of JJ Watt?

Let's go with Fitzpatrick. Above average QB right?

    Or maybe Clowney.

LOL now you're just going to troll? I suspected that you had nothing of substance to add and your trolling merely confirms it. Good day.

    Why is suggesting Clowney trolling?

He got drafted #1. Should be elite this year.

I suggest that it gets changed to the greatest Texans player ever and you suggest they go with a former one season starting QB or a rookie....I'd say that you are better than this, but I'm starting to doubt it.

Wonder how the doomsdayers against the Mallett and possible Hoyer signing would have felt if we blew our wad all on one Jay Cutler.

You're probably right in that Clowney won't ever be among the greatest Texans with Watt and Andre.

Just hoping he gets healthy honestly.

Speaking of, what can we expect from Clowney this year, if anything?

No, you're just trolling, and not doing so very intelligently. I get that you are butt-hurt about the fact that Andre got old and was put out to pasture, but you're going to have to get over it.

Actually I think it was time for Andre to take a reduced role to #2, one that's not available on his team.

But I'm not going to make up stuff and put words in his mouth

I made nothing up, he wasn't willing to take a reduced role, he thought it was an insult that he not be an 80 reception WR even if his ability didn't call for that anymore.

You said he was jealous of DeAndre and didn't want to defer to him. You also said Andre thought he was still as good as ever

But this is the Texans offseason thread.

Any update on our top 4 picks? Getting healthy? Is X training hard?

I said that he didn't want to take a lesser role, Nuk took his job by being the better WR, but he still wanted that role. In reality this was probably just about money. Andre has to know that his time as a top tier WR is over and if the Texans were paying him 16 mil a year to be the 3rd option he'd probably have no problem with it. This is all smoke.
