If Ben Jones is so bad in traing camp we sign Myers again this team is in trouble.

Look im not saying our TE's are worldbeaters, but paying big money to a TE is not the way to go with all the other holes our team has.

I'd rather roll with what is currently at TE than upgrade at TE and leave holes elsewhere.

When you have JJ Watt who needs TEs?! Amirite???

The TEs were poor last year, but it didn't really feel like they were thrown to that much. Mostly used for blocking. That's part of the reason why I don't see us getting Thomas since he is not a great blocker, and letting Graham go since he is not too great at it either.

I think Fedor will take a step forward in the offensive production this season, but I wonder who will be TE number 2 on this team going forward(if Graham is released of course)

Our TE's are going to have to have good hands because Malletts biggest weakness is the short game.

Who is getting upset? Everyone here seems to get it.

No more rewarding players for past accomplishments. What can you do for me in the next 2 or 3 years?

Julius Thomas had 1 catch as a rookie. ONE!

TE's almost always start off slowly and Fiedorowicz showed some potential towards the end of the season. I think he'll be a productive TE moving forward, but he's still not ready to be the #1 guy

Plenty of people are complaining about the holes we are "creating".

Exactly, J. Jo and Graham better be waiting in the lobby to be cut next. Destroy and rebuild. This free agency class is deep and we should be major players in it

Not much of a sample size to dissect any real weakness' (or strength) for him, other than the fact that he has a plus arm (presuming his pec is healed).

No complaints here. Firm believer in the "better to move someone a year too soon than a year too late". Its about rebuilding, about fixing the mistakes of the past. Hopefully sort out the QB position, snag a few bigger/faster players at key positions (WR, LB, DB) and compete in a year or two.

I would wait to see what happens to KJack before cutting J-Jo. If we cut him and lose Kareem we have Bouye and maybe Morris(not sure if he's a FA or not). We would get torched

Griffin and CJ are solid enough, I'd rather add a tight end in the draft than to spend big on one in free agency. There are literally two tight ends worth big money in the league Gronk and Jimmy Graham. I'd rather get Jordan Cameron or Cameron Jordan whichever one is the tight end LoL

Exactly, TE's can be found for a cheap price tag all over the league. In the draft or just making a small signing could work out. Last thing a team like the Texans needs to spend freely on is a TE.

I see what you're saying but I was suggesting we cut J. Jo to ensure the re signing of Kareem and then we can scoop up a guy like Brandon Flowers to replace him

Has any offensive weapon left Payton Manning and really produced?

waiting for the Fitz hammer to drop...would signal we have reached a handshake agreement with Mallet (if it hasn't already been made) and frees up another $3MM you are essentially shifting to Mallet's contract

If we were able to re-sign Kareem before free agency starts I'd be down with that idea.

I'd wager Fitzpatrick is back, regardless. They can't sign a better back-up for the roughly $4MM they'd save releasing him.
