If were talking gaping holes...then I think Hope Solo should be in the conversation. Example: DJ Swearinger was the Hope Solo of the Texans defense.
Eh seems like a sloppily written article. Texans have a bunch of holes, but Swearinger was DEFINITELY the weaker safety

Dang I really didn't think people disliked our Jerseys. I like them except I think the Red Strip at the collar needs to be either thinned or removed. And I love our Red Jersey we don't wear that enough. I think Red Jersey blue pants would be ugly IMO, don't know what Arian was imagining.
I like it best when they wear either all blue, all white, or all red (yeah, I like the ketchup bottle unis...so what? You wanna fight about it?) I think it looks better when they go with all one color...especially the all blue.
My preference would be red/white at home; white/white on the road. And yeah, the strange disappearance of the white helmet has always been a mystery to me. Where'd it go? It exists; we know that.
Perhaps they were conscious not to compete with another Texas team that has white helmets and an animal with horns on it. Or they wanted to go as far away from the previous NFL team that also had a helmet with a white base.
IIRC, they thought the white helmet looked too much like the old white Buffalo Bills helmets, even though at the time Buffalo hadn't worn them for almost 20 years.
That Buffalo helmet above is their current one, correct? I believe their old one had a different "Buffalo" on them (the ones OJ wore). So, the Texans don't get white helmets because of an old Buffalo helmet... and then Buffalo proceeds to adopt and modernize that same helmet?? Sounds fishy.
That particular helmet is from the '82 season. But yeah, their current version is very similar. The stripe may be a bit different and they have a white facemask.
Got it... At that point, I'd have to think Ralph Wilson or somebody in the Buffalo organization coerced them into making the change... and knowing what we know now about McNair's personality/dealings, its no surprise he was more than happy to oblige. Or maybe it was based on market research... and at the time, the dark blue helmet scored better.
