ehh, i'm iffy on the extension. Granted, even though he does provide solid veteran leadership, I feel as if we have enough depth at corner to have been able to withstand a Joseph departure. I also don't see Jonathan playing that great football from this point on.
Well it was going to either be extend or cut, couldn't have that huge cap hit. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">CB Johnathan Joseph's extension with the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Texans?src=hash">#Texans</a> is a three-year deal (two new years) per source.</p>— Tania Ganguli (@taniaganguli) <a href="https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/611606169958883328">June 18, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Just waiting on the numbers.

Interested to how this is structured. Looks like they barely save any money this year but probably a low cap figure the next two years?
So much for the reports that were out that they wanted to trade him: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">While the extension was a long-time coming for Johnathan Joseph, <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Texans?src=hash">#Texans</a> were clear on their intent: For him to finish his career in Houston</p>— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/611612004239953922">June 18, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I love this extension. Need at least three good CBs in the modern NFL and it will allow KJ30 to develop in a lesser role.
Yeah, that plus they are done with his guarantee after this year. Basically this deal saved about a million off his cap this year and gave him a more cap friendly, completely non-guaranteed contract for 2 more years.
great move. #20 ranked cover corner by PFF last year stays, gives us 3 corners if KJ pans out, lets KJ ramp up over time / gives him a veteran mentor, and of course helps the cap hit
I know we have recievers but 6'5 235 with speed and ridiculous athleticism, why not? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/06/18/terrelle-pryor-is-moving-to-receiver/
WR is a deep position, you cant just switch there and be good at it, you have to play the position at a world class level. I know it's been by other ex-QB's, I know Pryor has gotten redzone looks, but to think he can contribute at a meaningful level at WR is a reach.
Why would they be pissed? It's not Tebow's fault they all blew it. It's simple, you produce you play, don't make it anything thats it's not.
