[OFFICIAL] NYC Mayoral Primary thread, was: Andrew Yang Announces Candidacy for NYC Mayor

I'm not sure what Yang's angle is other than he's making a lot more money now than he did before as a businessman.

 

Could be money, fame, or (who knows) just wanting to make a difference?

 

Those interviews/complaints/leaks about how he was mostly hands (and guilt) free while he ran his campaign makes me think he's (at best) more an ideas man than an execution guy.

The people he trusted to Get Things Done were also soulless bros you'd encounter at the C level of startups.

If he really cared about his One Big Issue, he probably could've leveraged it for a cabinet spot, though in fairness, a third party with that platform (and no chance of winning) is a legit alternative.
