Scobee is gonna end up the Jaguars leading scorer. All-time. *haha just checked, he's 54 points off from actually being it.
I've said it once and I'll say it again.....I would LOVE to see Baltimore in Reliant Stadium in the playoffs. If it wasn't for their home field advantage, this team would be very pedestrian. That defense is the truth, but their offense's ineptitude can and will be exposed. We would beat them here at home.
Well, kickers tend to be the highest scores on the team since QB's don't get credit for passing TD's and running backs and receivers would need to get up around 20 TD's to reach the season total of most kickers. Look at a list of the NFL's all time leading scorers. They're ALL kickers. Jerry Rice is the first non kicker on the list and he's #27. Kris Brown is the Texans' all time leading scorer. He has more than twice as many points as Andre Johnson. Neil Rackers is already #3 on the list and will likely overtake Andre next season. Al Del Greco is the all time leader for the Oilers/Titans. Bironas is #2. Earl Campbell and his 73 TD's is #6.
I didn't get to watch the game but did the Ravens have a let down game after thier big win last week against us?? You could tell Jacksonville was hyped up to play, but it looks like the Ravens thought much the same the rest of the world did. "Really? The Jags? On Monday Night??"
I don't think the Texans are consistent enough over the years for you to make that claim. The Ravens are still the only team with a legit defense left in this pass-happy league, which means they will be in EVERY game. That offense is highly schizophrenic though.
Funny to hear Suggs calling Cam Cameron out....I kept shouting the same thing at my TV yesterday. RUN THE BALL! How do you expect to get first downs when you have one of the best running backs in the league and you won't run the ball? And don't say it was because of the fumbles. MJD was fumbling even worse than Rice was and they still fed him the rock.
Flacco averaged about one yard per attempt (until the last drive) and Ray Rice only carried the ball 8 times? That's does seem crazy.
Same thing happened to them against the Jets. Kept throwing the ball instead of running it. They were just lucky the Jets were doing the same stupid stuff on offense as they were so they got away with it.(and they were at home)
yeah, but flacco should be better than that. that dude has all the tools. couldn't believe he was so inept. their offense has really improved over the last two seasons personnel wise. they have a legit number one running back they have bouldin and torry smith. no way they should have been so pedestrian but i guess jax has a better defense than people realize.
Solid defense(maybe top 10-15) + Teams don't take you serious + Conservative game plan = close games that you might be able to pull out here and there, especially at home. Ravens did not come to play, from the HC to the last man on the roster.
It was three times for about two quarters of game time.(someone said 23 minutes of actual game time) That's just insane.
Before I forget, did anyone else see Jim Schwartz's handshake with Mike Smith? I don't like the guy at all.
I understand that our history doesn't bode well, but I think THIS YEAR, we will be favored in a home playoff game against any team in the AFC not named New England. We didn't have Andre or Casey, and our offensive line just didn't bring their A-game with them when we played them at their house, but in a playoff game, the intensity will be through the roof. I like our chances against that up-and-down offense, and I just don't think Cam Cameron is a good enough mind to defeat Wade Phillips when all the chips are on the table.
Hopefully someone will post a Youtube of it. Let's just say he wasn't a good loser and was very abrupt, especially considering his lecture on protocol last week. What a jerkhead.
