the lions are on the cover of this week's sports illustrated. half the article is on suh and his toughness and aggressiveness anyone who doubts suh's impact go watch the big xii 09 championship game and then go watch the 94 orange bowl between nebraska and miami. the only defensive guy i've seen have a game like that in my life time is warren sapp you just don't realize when you have such a strong fast big dominant lineman in the interior of the defense, he impacts the entire defense. he causes havoc on offensive schemes, the si article says he's double teamed and sometimes the line is still getting help from a back.
Well shucks, the one thing I was hoping for was someone who spent enough time on here to post 30,000 times would approve of my messages. I guess I failed.
Who said anything about approval? I was just stating how dumb your post was but I'll be more specific. 1."Wait wait wait wait, Suh isn't even the 1st, 2nd or 3rd best defender on the team...." OK, who would you put in front of him? Please tell so we can laugh. Vanden Bosch? Houston? Who??? 2. Are people actually saying Suh is the reason the Lions now have a good D? Is he the sole reason, probably no. Is he the biggest reason? More than likely. What would you attribute it to? 3. Are we arguing this point simply because a writer with down's syndrome says it's so? Yes, it is always good to poke fun at people with Down's syndrome, right? While we're on Hill, I know a lot of people on this board bash her because of various reasons but she's nowhere near as bad as people on this board make her to be. 4. Then to say that a second rate defender on the 11th ranked D is comparable to the 2nd best (Payton 1st in my book) running back of all time? Second rate defender? LOL! Did you read the article? She does n't really compare the two and gives Sanders his props in the article actually. She just says that Suh brings a certain charisma or energy to the team that Barry didn't and that is actually a pretty fair point. 5. Seriously, how did this get to 3 pages? This thread is not just about that article but Week 5. Pretty easy to see why this is more than 3 pages long.
Goodell is pushing the NFLPA for HGH testing. I am shocked to discover they did not already test for it. Why are the players pushing back against the testing? /confused
Steelers just pulled out a fake punt-pass. Trickery should be used more often. Always fun for the whole family.
