Damn, crazy. Wonder if that had anything to do with what appeared to be him getting into it with the coach a bit earlier.
Fisher punting on 4th and 1. pathetic. seasons on the line, and you think the defense is going to stop manning? 4 minutes left. go for the win
Great call fisher....down 9 with 3 minutes left now instead of going for the win. Let the losing streak continue.
And I was on Indy. I saw that coming from a mile away when they didn't try to kick the FG. Jeff Fisher obviously had money on the game.
the titans are playing bad! dropping passes, fumbles, missed tackles. that missed tackle on garcon, was the game. looks like kareem jackson played for the titans that game. and finnegan is still confused after the beatdown that AJ put on him.
Yeah, that decision right there killed any desire I ever had to have Fisher coaching the Texans. Absolutely ridiculous. Scenario A: With four minutes left, you go for 4th and 1 against one of the worst rush defenses ever, with a very good running back. You continue driving, needing a touchdown and having all three timeouts and the two-minute warning. Scenario B: You punt the ball back to arguably the greatest quarterback ever, needing an instant three-and-out from a defense that had been torhced all night... all to get the ball back at PROBABLY THE SAME SPOT YOU WERE BEFORE, but with 2:45 left and one timeout. Sure, if you miss it in Scenario A, the game is probably over. Just like if you don't hold them to three-and-out in Scenario B, the game is probably over. I think most reasonable people could figure out that the probability of Chris Johnson gaining a yard (against the awful Colts' run D) is much better than Tennessee holding Manning to three-and-out. Not to mention the aftermath scenarios (one gives you 3 timeouts and four minutes, the other one timeout and 2:45), which are also in favor of going for it. Mind-blowing lack of logic.
I think the TEAM has made its choice. . . even if the owner has not CJ does not look the same since VY went down either Rocket River
YPC: Week 1 - 5.3 Week 2 - 2.1 Week 3 - 3.9 Week 4 - 2.8 Week 5 - 6.9 Week 6 - 4.3 Week 7 - 2.8 Week 8 - 3.9 Week 9 - N/A Week 10 - 6.9 Week 11 - 6.2 (VY goes down... YPC w/ VY in game: 4.2, YPC w/o VY 8.4) Week 12 - 0.7 (Texans game, was he hurt? 7 rushes) Week 13 - 4.1 Week 14 - 5.0 YPC w/ VY = 3.62 YPC w/o VY = 4.55 Too small of a sample size to say, but so far, it looks like he has gotten better w/o him.
Just another sample size regarding Titans winning with or without vince... (got this from another message board) In the past 2 seasons the Titans are 13-16: Young: 11-3 Collins: 1-8 Smith: 0-1 Both*: 1-4 The both games are the 5 games where both Young and Collins played significant snaps (all from this year PIT-L, JAX-W, WAS-L, SD-L, MIA-L.)
LOL. OK, that came out of nowhere. You don't have to justify anything to me, but to say CJ is better with him is, so far, false.
man I thought I was going to be down big when I saw the game Johnson had (my opponent has him) I was pissed I figured I'd have to adjust my lineup to have possible feast or famine type guys in there to win. I then asked my friend how my guy did and he was like oh yeah you're guy the french guy right? he had 2 tds I was like nice Garcon playing his best game of the season may have given me a chance to advance I knew i would have a great chance to win if if was losing by 5 points or less going into sunday since Johnson was my opponents best player. Garcon pulled in 24.3 points to CJ's 27.9 in our league I am in good shape of course now watch me lose
Going a little deeper... in those two years. Teams VY has defeated combined W/L: 86-102 (.457) Teams VY has lost to combined W/L: 56-36 (.608) Teams KC has defeated combined W/L: N/A (lol) Teams KC has lost to combined W/L: 72-49 (.600) Looks like the teams that KC and VY failboat against are pretty much the same difficulty level. That is the danger you run into when measuring a QB by W/L... it's not exactly a big secret that the Titans schedule went from super redonkulously hard to begin the season last year to powder puff... VY had been playing the best football of his career this year, no doubt, but try to look at things a little more critically, instead of leaning on the "he just wins" stuff. It gets old after a while. There are plenty of other things you could say about Vince, especially this year, that would justify him staying in Tennessee and starting.
