Not sure if I owe an apology to the entire BBS for the Sunday Night game or not. On one hand, it was an ugly game where the Steelers underachieved and played down to the level of their opponent. Then again, OTOH you had a mildly exciting 4th quarter where Kansas City inexplicably had a chance to possibly win the game. Ugh. Either way, I'm happy to get the win and move on. P.S. Dwayne Bowe is a coward
Could you just tell me why Desean Jackson is dropping TD passes on a regular basis? His brick hands have killed me this year. I'd be in 2nd place instead of 5th.
Like others have said, I think it is the contract issues. It is some selfishness, some not wanting to get hurt and some of it is just not his fault all rolled up into one. I think he'll be gone after this season, heck the Eagles might franchise him and try to trade him for what they can.

Collinsworth is terrible. He may sound good if you're not listening closely but there is no substance to what he says. He blames Bowe for not trying to tip a ball that was well out of his reach when Palko threw into quadruple coverage. At one point I think he was raving about the Chiefs and Todd Haley like they were cruising through the AFC West. He did the same thing a week or two ago about Philly.
Bowe could have made a play for the ball. Sure, it was a poor throw but with the game on the line you need to at least get a hand up. Unless he TRULY didn't see the ball (which was possible).
The CB behind and to the left of Bowe had to really leap to catch it. That, coupled with Bowe's momentum moving in the opposite direction, IMO, means he had no shot at getting close to that ball. Maybe blame Bowe for the route he ran and/or blame Falco for the terrible throw.
If Bowe stuck his hand out his hand would have deflected the ball most likely into one of the cb's hands. Silly for people to blame Bowe.
I'm all for protecting players but that hit on Graham was perfectly legal. The defender wasn't leading with his helmet, did not make helmet contact. It looked bad because he was being tackled at the same time.
Too bad I became a fan of this version of the NFL. Might as well put skirts on em' if you won't let them hit each other.
The stupid rule trying to limit hits is turning the NFL into the NBA. Subjective fouls that take the play from the players to the refs. I was against it from the beginning, even moreso after a few years of this lamesauce flagging in action.
The NFL is eventually going to realize the best way to protect players is to minimize the amount of padding they wear. Especially on defense. You won't see guys launching themselves head first at receivers catching balls over the middle if they're not wearing a giant ass helmet and shoulderpads. Sure it will make the collisions less violent and exciting, but isn't that the point? I'd rather do that than have refs throwing a flag on every hit.
