You mean passing, right? He had one on the ground.

So have the Giants provided the Eagles' remaining opponents a blueprint to work with to beat/contain Vick?

This should be ballgame if Akers hits the field goal. They have already blocked one. Anything could happen. Let's see.....

    He tried to miss it.

    Eagles are legit.

    NFC is legit.

Akers eeks it through....again! Man he had some really close ones tonight. Ugly game Eagles but it is a win. GO EAGLES!!!

Man, if you look at the stat line it doesn't even look like this game should be close but it is what it is.

Tough, tough schedule remaining for the Eagles coming up with the Bears next week and I don't care what any of you say I'm not overlooking that Texans game.

Wow, is there any other QB besides Eli Manning able to have 3 turnovers on the final 2 drives of the game??

Factoid: The Eagles have now defeated the Giants the last 5 times they have played them.

    Good night CF. :)

In theory, yes. But no one else has the pass rushers that the Giants have to actually execute that defense.

Reminds me of the old Buccaneers blueprint to the league on how to take him down.

Step 1: Get a Warren Sapp and Derrick Brooks.

Step 2: Get that great team speed on D.

Step 3: Get that great team tackling ability.

    Step 4: ???????

    Step 5: Profit.

Fortunately for Vick, weren't too many teams in the league that could match that.

Not sure I agree with that. Not only do they face the Giants again but also Ware and Ratliff of the Cowboys....twice. They also have to face Allen and the Williams and I am not seeing that as a gimme regardless of Minnesota's record. Then Williams of the Texans and I am not overlooking that match up, as I stated earlier. The Bears game next week is huge as both teams are 7-3 and the Bears have Peppers and Idonije who has had a pretty solid season.

It's not just a matter of having pass rushers - it's the whole thing. The secondary has to be able to cover, the blitzes have to come from the right places, etc. The Cowboys, Texans, Vikings, and Bears are all in the bottom half of the NFL in sacks this season. The Giants are in the top top tier.

And even beyond sacks, it's the pure power and speed of that Giants pass rush that keeps obliterating QBs all over the league - you don't really see that from any other team in the league. Those other teams can get to the QB here and there. But Giants are the only team in the league that puts pressure on the QB that consistently.

Maybe but really this came should not have been close. Jackson dropped a TD in the end zone. It was low but still catchable. Avant dropped one of the easiest passer ever.

Yeah. it really shouldn't have been close. 5 Giants turnovers and just over 200 yards of offense. They benefited greatly from Vick's first turnover of the year and some very bad penalties from the Eagles.

Matt Millen yelling at Steve Young, and telling him he has no idea of what is going on with the Vikings. He may be right, but who is Matt Millen to tell anyone that they don't know something going on within a football team, especially to a HOFer.

My fantasy team really needed Jackson to catch it. Now I need Brandon Lloyd to go off.

Hahhaha that was funny to watch, very awkward moment. It still baffles my mind how that guy has a job related to football.

Millen was probably sick of listening to Steve just ramble on and on and on like that all year. I swear all those concussions have taken their toll on him...
