not saying that he did terrible but some of his runs would have been home runs with mcfadden. Bush is a great back but let's be honest - he's not on the level that mcfadden is on.
its the same scenario with tate-foster. Tate is not on the level that foster is, but he is a great 2nd RB, and in other teams he could be the starter, so is a great two-punch combo.
The Lions would probably kill to have him on their team right now with all their RB problems, but they do have 2nd round pick Mikel Leshoure coming back next season after he tore his Achilles in training camp. I'm not sure they would pass on Michael Bush because of that though. Detroit really has stockpiled some good young talent.
Detroit has had some horrible luck with rookie RBs and injuries. Kevin Smith was never really that special, but his career was basically over before it started. Best has been much of the same and LeShoure didn't even see the field at all. A stable, chain-moving RB like Bush would be a great fit in Detroit, especially since Bush isn't half bad as a pass catcher either.
concussions. he had them while he was back at Cal as well. I think he already has two concussions so far this year?
Yea tell me about it. I was pretty happy with Best thinking he could stay healthy , now I feel like he may be Kevin Smith all over again. If we could land somewhat of a descent RB man Ill jump for joy. And I thought maybe Moes knew something I didn't.
Plenty of teams hurting at RB, but I don't know if the Lions have cap space. They made some FA moves for their defense in August, and I think they had to restructure a few contracts to fit them in. Bush has shown ability to be a top 12 RB in the league if he was starting, with the benefit of fresh legs, so wouldn't he get a pretty high price? And isn't Smith returning to the team?
Tate and Foster aren't that far apart. Foster has separated himself by his play in the red zone, by being the better receiver, and with better ball security. Tate is one of the worst RB receivers at the moment. Between the twenties, Tate has been the better runner this year. I'm surprised Tate hasn't played better in the red zone.
When it was Tate as the starter in the beginning of the season, he had Casey instead of Vickers blocking for him.
Romo just broke a personal record going 10-for-10 to start a game and has two TD passes early. His best start to a game ever. Some phenomenal catches by Dez and Holley early.
