Cowboys are in trouble, their offensive line isn't great and secondary is a mash unit. Romo will win you a game or two but cost you many more...Eagles should win the division easily. Jets have their own issues, Sanchez is such a mediocre QB that gets bailed out by really good defense. When that defense is off, dude gets exposed badly.
Sanchez usually gets bailed out by his D, but the guy put up 25/38 for 326 yards with 2TDs, for a 99.6 QB rating. He had a decent night now. Dez Bryant's limited mobility really hurt the Cowboys' offense. One side of the field basically was shut down and became REvis' island. And the Cowboys couldn't run the ball all night. Cowboys' should be fine. Dez should get healthy by next week, and the Cowboys have arguably the top 2 receiving corps in the league. They just need to get their secondary healthy.
What are you even talking about? I've never typed Jamarcus Russell's name outside of this sentence. When was anyone ever talking about Russell?
The problem isn't the O-line. EVERY team in the NFC East has a bad- average O-line. The secondary is more worrisome especially because THEY knew and Cowboys fans knew how thin and tbh how average the secondary was going into this season. With the exception of a half-hearted effort by the Cowboys fabulous GM to sign Nnamdi, they made no effort to upgrade the secondary.(As far as the public knows). Eagles winning it ain't in doubt. Question is which one of the 3 wack teams in the NFC Least can end up in 2nd.
Cam has shown much more potential than vy ever has at the pro level. I am confident in saying that Cam will be better than VY ever was based on one game, and I bet you will find many other people willing to do the same.
Beginners luck. Once defenses get a read on what he likes to do, they will take it away and Cam Newton will struggle big time. Plus, he won't play the Cardinals every week. No doubt he will be a better passer than VY (which isn't saying much). I thought that was obvious from college. While miserable Panthers fans should be excited, I wouldn't read too much into one game.
Beginners luck huh? He can actually throw the ball really well and he made some great reads. Cam Newton is a stud QB and actually it's disrespectful to him to even compare him to VY at this point because Cam actually has a great arm and can make all the throws.
It's a tossup between the Skins and the Cowboys at this point, and I think the Cowboys have the edge. Either way, it is looking very unlikely that a wildcard berth will end up in that division, especially considering the strength of the NFC North (Packers, Bears, Lions) and South (Falcons, Saints, and maybe even the Bucs). Oh, and Cam Newton was always far more promising than VY in my mind. I had questions on Newton about how quickly he could adjust to the pro game, but he was never the massive bust that some projected. VY on the other hand -- I just never quite understood the hype. I felt like he should have never been drafted higher than the 4th round at best, and if so as a long term project. That said, I was still massively surprised by his impressive outing yesterday. I know the Cards secondary was pretty bad, but still, it takes some serious skill to be able to exploit a defense like that at the pro level. I saw him throw on blitzes, make all the right reads, and his accuracy was off the charts. He has a rocket for an arm and he can put that ball anywhere he wants to, and even better still, he already seems to have a knack for good decision-making that Young and Russell never had, and even Michael Vick didn't have until now. 422 yards against any NFL team is no joke, let alone as a rookie. If/when this guy gets it all together, he is going to torture defenses. Scariest thing is that he hardly used his legs at all in this game -- he did pretty much everything from inside the pocket except for the goal line TD rush.
The NFC this year is STACKED this year. Eagles Redskins Cowboys Saints Falcons Bucs Lions Bears Packers Are all damn good teams, sucks only 5 will make the playoffs along with the token NFC West team (thinking 49ers myself) we could see any two of them reach the title game besides maybe Bucs and Lions. Meanwhile AFC has Pats Ravens Steelers Texans Jets Chargers Looks like the Bills might be a surprise, but you can almost pencil those 6 teams in to make the playoffs.
Tony Homo does it again. The Cowgirls really gave this game away to the Jets... I wasn't impressed with the Jets. Their defense isn't the same to me.. just looking at it from this game. I know one game isn't enough to judge but it just seems a little off, but i'll reserve full judgement until later in the season. Their offense is still that inconsistent offense where at times Sanchez will panic under pressure and just throw the ball away. Plaxico had a fairly decent game for his first game back... but they still look like the same to me on offense... but again it's just one game so I'll reserve full judgement on this too. Looking forward to the two MNF games tomorrow. I have Wes Welker and Aaron Hernandez on my fantasy roster, expecting Welker to give me some pts. Also have Knowshawn Mereno on my other fantasy team -- not expecting too much out of him, just his usual numbers.
I have had the Bills penciled in for 8 wins since the preseason, but they might do better than that. Dareus should help stop the run. Their pass defense is alright. Their offense is exciting to watch. Between Spiller, Stevie Johnson, Brad Smith, and Freddie Jackson, I think Chan Gailey has some good weapons. Brad Smith was an excellent signing for them. I think Gailey finds great ways to utilize him. To be honest, I know they're different players, but in my opinion, the Denver Broncos should follow the Brad Smith manual for an idea on how to use Tim Tebow.
