You are a ******* idiot. I bet you haven't even seen him play a single game...acting like some expert scout talking out of his ass.

    2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th for Jason ****ing Babin?

Why do Houston GMs make either brilliant GM moves or completely idiotic ones, there is no middle ground.

This guy had better be really good.

So, the Texans don't pick again until the 4th round (they had two 4ths, I guess).

That's because I don't watch f'n peewee football, which is where he's been playing the last four years. No way does this loser put up those numbers in a major conference. We give up a 3rd and 4th just to grab a guy who would've been there at#40 anyways.

Does seem steep, one things for sure CC doesn't value those second day picks very highly. On the plus side Babin sounds like a real monster who should provide pass rush on the outside.

I'm glad you know there are only losers and garbage outside of the major conferences. I suggest you look at some rosters of NFL teams and see the players that don't come from the big name schools.

I'm not going to get pissed about giving up a 3rd and 4th rounder if Casserly thought this highly of the guy.

It's easy to put up numbers when you're playing against Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Akron, and Ball St.

Well it's obvious that Jason Babin was the top player on their board. It's a trade that we'll have to wait to see who gets the better deal. I tend to think we got a good deal.

Our 3-4 defense is based on pressure and our OLB just weren't doing it.. period!

    Jason Babin

    6' 1 1/2" 260lbs. 4.60 sec 40m
    NFL comparison: Mike Vrabel

Strengths: Very productive...Continues to sack the QB despite constantly fighting double and triple teams...Quick...Instinctive...Tough...Good speed...Smooth athlete.

Weaknesses: Level of competition is a concern...Doesn't have great size...Will need to get stronger.

Notes: A sleeper whose production can't be ignored...Has all the physical tools.

Wow, he better be good since we just traded basically our remaining draft for for a guy who's going to have to change postions in the NFL. I'm not going to trash the front office, but this is the type of deal that could cripple our development if Babin isn't for real.

Babbib wouldnt have been there at 40. Just like Joppru wouldnt have been there in the 3rd last year, just like Tony Hollings wouldnt have been available in the 3rd round.

    Casserly is an IDIOT

Quit being such a homer. We passed on some solid players to take this assclown. We could've had a solid wideout in Rashaun Woods or a stud DT like Randy Starks. Instead we go with the whitey from Western Michigan.

Exactly. Casserly blows his load over these guys, and picks them way too early. Thanks for bringing up the Joppru pick --> another bonehead move by CC.

    From ESPN analysis:

The Texans got a good value and an even better fit with Babin. He will provide the pass rush they were missing a year ago, and he also is an attacking, upfield player against the run that led Division I-A in tackles for loss.

I'm not a homer. Believe me, I'd rip into Dawson for all the picks he's made, but the NFL is alot harder to draft and Casserly hasn't made any significantly bad mistakes yet IMO. Is Joppru already considered a bust? I'll admit Hollings wasn't that great...didn't we give up a 2nd rounder for him?

Babin is probably a good candidate for OLB in the 3-4 system, I don't question the pick, I question why Casselry again compromises the team's future by passing up picks to take these projects.

    Because of Hollings we forfeit....

THE #32 PICK IN THE DRAFT!!!!

Also, if Joppru was any good, then why did the Texans sign Mark Bruener at TE when we already have Billy Miller, Kent, and Holloway there? Joppru was a 4th round talent, picked in the 2nd round. Tony Hollings couldn't get a first down if his life depended on it.

Ahh. Casserly was just going to take some baseball player with one of those picks that went to Tennessee. :)
