well i know one thing there going to have a Very young team starting out next season. with all these draft picks.
I think it is funny that when the cowgirls pass up on Jackson then he is overrated. Everyone but you have said how he is a solid, punishing runner. Everyone but you expected him to go many picks higher.
There was no mention of it being a conditional pick, so I'd have to go with "no" on it being protected. I don't think Dallas makes the trade if it's not an unconditional 1st.
I guess NFL GMs think he's pretty overrated too. And I hate the Cowgirls, so don't think I'm saying that just because they passed on him.
Not being picked can be for a lot of reasons other than being overrated. Number one reason: team needs.
Not like anyone took a different RB over Jackson at this point. And it sure seems like there's a lot of "need" for WRs this draft.
I think Jackson is 1a in the draft with KJ being 1b, no doubt. But going into the draft I wanted them to pick up an rb in the 2nd or 3rd, and address other needs first. Wilfork would've been a nice fit. I wouldn't mind a Bell, Cobbs, Turner, or Perry if the boys end up with some other good players to fill their holes at cb, dt, and ol. Those are harder to fill than rb imo. I do like the trade, but it doesn't do much to help for THIS year.
But if he was a francise back as all of these cyber "experts" say, wouldn't a team with one of the first 23 picks in the draft taken him?
