I think if Tagliabue were to let go of that jersey, it would fall to the floor.

Eli is holding it like its some sort of disease.!!!!

I believe a picture of this moment should be next to the word "AWKWARD" in the dictionary. :)

When's the last time a number one pick got booed so heavily?? That must suck, but some of it, if not all, is his own undoing.

What a way to start off your career. Getting boo'ed. I hope he is a flop. Of course they are sucking his dick saying how classy he is.

They're booing the hell out of Manning. Sweet! He deserves it. What should be the greatest day of his life turns out to be a nightmare. :D

He brought it on himself. What a loser.

I wonder if Eli has a baseball option like John Elway and Bo Jackson? Eli Manning couldnt carry Elway or Jackson jock. He shouldnt be mentioned in the same sentence.

Wow...he certainly didn't soften his stance at all right there. I think the biggest thing is that by having these things become public, it really hurts SD's chance to trade him.

Why would SD trade with the NYG for Rivers straight up? Is there not a better deal out there to acquire more picks? Someone who wanted Gallery, Manning, etc? I mean, Rivers probably isn't going top 10, so why not trade down with Cleveland or someone else to acquire more picks? I don't get this, really, if they do deal Manning for Rivers straight up. All they do is save a bit of money on the top pick overall vs. a number 4 pick.

The Chargers have a chance to really screw themselves with this draft, and that's supposed to be harder to do when you have the top overall pick....

It is going to be next to impossible to trade a #1 pick with anyone lower than #4. They would have to trade down twice because of how much a #1 pick is worth. Its complicated to explain but that is how it works.

Yeah, I think you're right, which is why they had talked about SD trading down with the Giants and then trading down again with Cleveland. This year was unique in that there were so many different ideas of who should be #1, though, so I really thought, or THINK, SD should take advantage of that and get out of the top slot. We'll see if they still have a deal in the works, but just dropping the #1 pick for the #4 pick, straight up, would be p*ss poor, IMO. They have to get something else out of that deal.

I totally agree and I dont think that there is a chance in hell that they would trade it straight up.

Arizona Cardinals select Larry Fitzgerald with the 3rd pick in the draft.

They are going to have a great receiving combo for a long long time.

MB- do you have a particular team you pull for? If so, who are you hoping they get?

If the Redskins take Winslow, and If Im the Texans, I start begging Detroit or Cleveland to move up and scoop up Taylor.

Aren't both of those teams supposed to be pretty keen on Taylor as well? Especially Cleveland, with Butch Davis, looking to get another Miami guy.

About Winslow- whether you like him or not, is going to be an excellent pro. He's got so much more ability than Shockey, but Shockey has really looked good in the NFL. If a team uses him right, he's going to be just as dangerous as T-Gonzalez or Sharpe in a couple of years.

Houston Texans baby. I want Sean Taylor bad. I think that would shore up our defensive backfield. I also wouldnt mind DeAngelo Hall, Kenechi Udeze (even though his health worries me), or Jonathan Vilma. I know Vilma isnt high on peoples draft boards but I LOVE this guy. I think he is going to be a force.

I'm a Titans and Texans fan (whether anyone wants to believe that SHOULD be possible or not. :) With the Titans as my favorite team, I really think they need to shore up their D-line since they lost both Kearse and Robaire in the offseason. (Good pick up by the Texans, by the way.) I could see them going O-line as well, though. The problem is that there isn't going to be anyone stellar at D-line that late in the draft.

For the Texans- I couldn't agree more. I love Hall from Va Tech, even if he is a little undersized. I think his speed will be huge, though, if these new NFL rules on illegal contact are that significant. I think I want Sean Taylor most of all, but I'm pretty realistic in thinking it won't happen. Too much demand from other teams for him, teams ahead of us. But we'll see. I didn't see a lot of Udeze, but I loved what I did see.

Vilma- I liked him a lot, but I just can't see us using this high of a pick on a LB. If we trade down some, perhaps. I just think our needs in the secondary and D-line have to come first. We'll see what goes down, though.

CRAP! Freaking Redskins! Unless there's a trade....;)
