ha. I made this thread so they can talk about the Knicks not just one player. A friend of mine is courtside at the game.
To keep this thread on topic. This NY defense and team chemistry is just outstanding to watch. Seriously. Kobe looks like a little b**** out there on the court. Too bad Carmelo and Amar'e will **** it all up when they return. I love em'... but they are not going to make this team better until they learn to play team ball.
they need Amare and Carmelo, those other dudes can't score outside of Novak hitting open Js. Bibby is washed up
No. Top 5 protected. Right now the Knicks are out of the playoffs after starting with the most favorable schedule in the league. There is no way that they get above 8th in the east this year. Especially considering their absolutely brutal schedule coming up for the next two months. They either get in at the 8th seed or miss the playoffs. Should they miss the playoffs, there are potentially 4 teams in the west with better records missing the playoffs. That is a top 10 pick for us right there. The upcoming draft is once in a decade talent within the top 10.
Melo must be FURIOUS!!! Must be hating so bad deep inside. I really don't think Melo can handle all the attention and fame that is going to Lin. Theres going to be major chemistry issues once Melo comes back. Cant wait.
I don't know about that. If Lin plays pick and roll with Melo, that could really be dangerous. For Amare, it might just be like Nash/Amare over again.
The Ruler's team being held under 100. Too bad. The damn thing this Lin kid did to the Knicks is actually giving the players hope. Now they are playing beyond their capabilities.
If the Knicks two "superstars" come back and they start losing again, the fans will be demanding a trade. I think we can see that having a "superstar" on your team doesn't automatically make you a contender. Team chemistry is so important. The suns couldn't win a championship with Nash and STAT, the Nuggets couldn't win a championship with Carmello, Billups, and Nene, and the Knicks were horrible with Carmello and STAT. Are Carmello and STAT the players you want to build around?
Personally, I think that Lin and Melo can work well together. It scares me since I really do want the Knicks to lose (personally, I hope Melo is a cancer but I just do not feel that he is). Carmelo is a fierce competitor and winner. He has proven that during his tenure with the Duggets and Team USA. He was asked to be a playmaker earlier in the year and that is just not his game. Melo can average 30+ with Lin at the point imo.
They always pan out on tv to see Melo's reaction, it appears he's genuinely happy to see Lin achieve success.
