Just finished my first season with Kings. I won Rookie Of The year award and few milestones. Now I have rating of 70 and plus I signed with Cavaliers. And I'm starting SG... N I C E!
Don't know about height/weight, but I did change the quarter length in My Player. Someone posted a link on how to do this earlier in the thread I think (PC version only). No idea if it is possible on 360/PS3. Thought I read it was, but only if you had purchased the Draft Combine DLC. I think the patch will also enable this. I got to play a bunch this weekend. Really enjoy the My Player mode, but mostly because of the idea, not the actual execution. I haven't really played many sports games right when they come out, but this game definitely wasn't ready to come out IMO (lots of bugs, lack of polish, etc.). The real game will be ready when the patch comes out, although I'm guessing there will still be some problems. This is from the PC version, so maybe they're not the same on PS3/360, but from what I've read, I don't believe that is the case. edit: Turpis posted it: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=4807633&postcount=277 Forgot to mention I got signed to the Bucks...and I hate that team. I average like 35/5/5 (OK, maybe I'm taking advantage of some issues), and Redd averages like 15-20 PPG. And yet I think we've won maybe one game. I'm leaving ASAP.
Just finished my first season with the 76ers, and God, was that awesome. As a 6'5'' shooting guard (who sometimes played PG especially after Green got traded), I quickly took over the starting spot from Willie Green (who got traded to the Thunder for Sefasholosha). The 76ers were pretty interesting to play with. I was really the third option, as I'm not much of an offensive player - I can hit jumpers at the top of the key if I'm wide open sometimes, and I can drive, but I'm a defensive specialist with a Defensive Awareness and On-Ball Defense both at 95 and a Steal at 75. Iggy was great to play with and very clutch, Brand was okay, and I hated, hated Dalembart as the guy could never catch a pass. We made the 8th seed with a 40-42 record after struggling through all of February, and played the Pacers for the first round (yes, the Pacers were #1, who ended up trading TJ Ford for Tayshaun Prince and had Granger as the scoring champ). After losing the first game in an epic 55-56 battle, we then wrecked them for the next four games, culminating in Game 4 when I went beserk and scored 34 points, which was by far a record for me. We then went to face the Bobcats, who had defeated the Magic 4-0 (LOLWUT). That series was tough, but we prevailed in seven games, and there wasn't much to say into it, as I finally started to develop an offensive game to some degree. Then we faced the Celtics, who beat us in six games and would proceed to beat Portland in six games in the NBA Finals. That series was ugly and annoying, as the Celtics barely won in their four games and we blew them out in Games 3 and 4. 5 was especially heartbreaking for myself, as I missed one out of two freethrows at the last second (the only free throw I missed in the entire playoffs) and Ray Allen made a game-tying buzzer beater three at the end with myself getting points for Good Shot Defense there and then the Celtics kicked our butts in OT. Also, Rondo. I HATE RONDO SO ******* MUCH NOW. Normally, I preferred playing PG to SG as since I was 6'5'' and 205 lbs, I could simply use my greater size to abuse the PGs and pass out when I was double-teamed. Rondo was different, as I couldn't budge him at all and he stole the ball whenever I managed to drive. Him and Barbarossa were the two most annoying ones I had to play against the entire season, Barbarossa because he was ridiculously fast. Well, I signed with the Rockets my second season (yaaayyy) but I'm going to be the back-up apparantly behind McGrady. And that's it, and I'll be taking a break from 2k10 in general for a while what with midterms coming up.
I have a question, is fatigue a problem for you guys when playing online, my player or any other type of game? It seems the players get tired too quick even if you dont press the turbo...
I haven't checked the sliders, but I'm guessing there's an option for that somewhere. My player does seem to get "tired" somewhat quickly, but his stamina isn't as high as it could be (75-80 IIRC?). Not to mention that even when "tired", he's still somewhat effective...just not as effective as he is when he's fresh (probably like a real NBA player). I haven't really thought about it much though, so maybe it is a bit off. Probably better this way than just turboing all over the court though.
How does the off-season work? I assumed you could just pick any teams that were interested. If I'm stuck playing in Milwaukee again...ugh. Maybe I can pull a Crabtree and refuse to play for the team (well...maybe just stand still in games). Although my actions would actually make sense (not going for money, just don't want to play for the Bucks).
simply put, nba 2k9 was better. i'll even go as far to say that live 10 was even better. (cant believe i said that, but its the truth)
i liked 2k9 as well, but i said the same thing last year about 2k8. it takes about a month or so to really adapt to the game play and pick up on all of the different quirks, especially in on line play. 2k10's as good as it gets, and just wait until the patch... but to say that live is better is downright ludicrous. any true basketball fan would tell you that the live series is a joke compared to 2k
They would not let you refuse, I had a choice of 4 teams...one of them the Mavs...NOT A CHANCE IN HADES !!! So I am playing on Portland, coming off the bench and averaging more than 12 ppg and shooting about 60% and dropping 3 dimes and 3 boards a game. We are currently 3rd in the Western conference. DD
damn you game pretty hard man. what's the most games you've ever played consecutively? i eventually get bored and have to put the sticks down after 3.
This is one HELL of a glitchy and buggy game. I've been on a 15 day contract for 22days...lol. And NO word from the front office.
As long as I can pick between some teams (i.e., a choice between Milwaukee and not Milwaukee), I'm OK with that I guess. Might "cheat" and see if I can influence the picks by reloading my career (assuming this works), but as long as some decent team is interested, that shouldn't be a problem. I'd prefer the Rockets of course, but I'd be OK with someone like Portland. I just want to win some games and maybe even make it to the playoffs...and not be apart of the Jazz, Mavs, Spurs, Lakers, and...wait...this might be kind of tough if I rule out 95% of the good teams. Do you actually get to negotiate contracts (years and $)? Or are the values preset (Team A offers 3 yr contract, do you accept?)? Wait, I'm supposed to be getting notices about this? The Bucks gave me a 10-day contract I think...but I've been playing for 3-4 weeks and haven't noticed anything different during that time. I just assumed I was getting new contracts every 10 days since I continued to play well. Obviously, I really need to read up on how this mode works.
They just auto renew it......my 10 day lasted the entire end of the Bucks season.... Now, I am in Portland...hopefully on a one year deal...I am dying to play on the Rocks. DD
What exactly is the tsearch thing? I would LOVE to edit it to have my sim minutes equal my game minutes. Just like you said, sucks to see other games so high scoring.
aww ok. Well, in that case never mind. I guess I was just hoping to hear something from that annoying dude who talks after games on my progress etc. Like, congrats blah blah blah.
