Can anyone please tell me why I start a game in My Player mode, get subbed out after two minutes, and I don't play again until one minute left in the fourth? The substitutions in this game are so random. The game before this, I was getting subbed in and out every ten seconds. Anyone else having this problem?
That has never happened to me. When I started, I was coming off the bench and was going in and out. As my player improved, so did playing time and have not been going in and out of the floor and now, on the starting 5. I guess it really depends on your player rating and your performance. Plus your team grade as well. play within your role.
Was drafted Lakers in 2nd round 13th pick They then waived me, but I signed w/Rockets I stuck with them - 4 players cut. Andersen, Chucky Atkins, Chris Mihm, and some unknown. I made it through training camp and they brought me on board. First game against GSW, off bench as SG. Then PG Nailed a buzzer beater 3, will post later. Still going strong coming off the Bench!
First glitch i've come across on 2k10. My player mode I made it past rockets training camp and after my 10day contract I was told that serious offers have been made for me, Lakers, Cavs, Celts. I am 55 overall on my skill points. No way possible..., plus I have played 18 games which is well over my 10 day contract. And at one point during a game I was subbed in for Aaron Brooks, and 2 min later I am taken out and brought back in the same game by the lakers playing against my created player!
Is this the 360 or PS3? I ran across two glitches. 1. Inbounder walked in with the ball without inbounding and proceeds to shoot. 2. Mascot ( Clutch the Bear) did not leave the court and was dancing at half court as me and the computer went back and forth a couple of possessions.
whats the best way to play defense? in 2k9 I would just control one player, usually Yao and rack up blocks, but its a little harder to block in this game, whenever I try to steal it always creates open looks so I don't know how defense works in this years game, haven't had any luck blocking, or stealing
Yao was facing the stands and kept running trying to run right into the fans for like 20 minutes, it was pretty funny, I only had 4 players playing d and didn't notice for almost the whole quarter
Where do you guys allocate your skill points on "My Player" mode? I just started yesterday and I've played a few games. I've accumulated a good # of points, but none enough to make a material difference in my player. I'm a PG... and I've put some points towards Vertical (help me grab more boards, finish at the basket), Offensive Awareness (???, just cause it does not cost too many skill points), and Pass (for obvious reasons)... anybody have suggestions or what your strategy is regarding these skill points?
If you want to be a decent shooter, increase your shoot in traffic rating. I used to miss slightly contested 18 foot jumpers when my mid-range rating was 90. After increasing my shoot in traffic rating, my shots just started falling in.
On ps3, I looked it up and apparently I am not the only one. FYI when I was playing against my created player I racked up double the stats. I finished with 17 points, 4 rebounds, 18 assists and 3 steals. Still didn't make the player of the game, yao got it with 8 points 6 rebounds 1 block! Fml
The shooting mechanism is frustrating me. I can't make a jump shot to save my life. I know I'm supposed to release at top of the jump, but in this game in order to have a "perfect" release, you need to just tap on the shooting stick. Which brings me to the whole player control in this game. So frustrating. So far I'm disappointed.
Mazyar.. you have to concentrate... look at their body.. their shape of their body.. you gotta get intrigued by it... once you're in that zone... there's no way you'll miss. On a serious note though, just go into Practice and shoot around.. gotta play around with the shooting stick a little bit... it's not about the peak of their shot sometimes.. you gotta look at everything, just their overall form of the shot and when it looks good to be released, you release the shot. I don't know.. I'm just a natural with it... I guess probably because I see their real shot in reality... it's pretty much the same thing in the game.
