Fred VanVleet 'Very Likely' To Re-Sign With Raptors Fred VanVleet is one of the top overall free agents on the open market this offseason, but there are a limited number of teams with cap space who are expected to pursue a point guard. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that VanVleet will "very likely" re-sign with the Toronto Raptors. "I think Fred VanVleet is very likely to return to Toronto," said Wojnarowski on The Jump. "Maybe it hurts him in his negotiations as to what number he can get to with the Raptors on his extension [sic] versus if there was a lot of teams with cap space and he had some more viable options." VanVleet re-signed with the Raptors in 2018 on a two-year, $18 million contract.
Kings interested in Hassan Whiteside The Sacramento Kings have interest in Hassan Whiteside. Whiteside began his career with the Kings as the 33rd overall pick in the 2010 draft. Whiteside spent last season with the Portland Trail Blazers, but they're unlikely to retain him as they have Jusuf Nurkic as their starting center and acquired Enes Kanter on Friday.
