I don't care for the all-star game anymore, but when I was a bit younger I broke up with a girlfriend on Valentine's Day just so I could watch it in peace. That blood is on the NBA's hands. Change the date, Silver.
3PT contest is the only thing I'm really interested in, but I always end up watching a good chunk of the All Star game itself simply because I'm needing my fix of NBA basketball - even if it's more fake than usual.
Friday night is kinda boring tbh. I used to look forward to Saturday nights the most, but over the last 5 years I'd say that it's gotten much worse. Sunday has gotten better as Saturday has gotten worse, or perhaps my age has got my priorities in different order.
It's going to be tough for me to catch any of Saturday's events (despite that being the best day of All Star Weekend) because of V day. I usually dodge dinner dates on Rockets game days but this may be going a bit too far.

I can't remember the last time there have been so many injuries to AS players. Griffin, Davis, Kobe, Wade. Possibly Butler. Melo reportedly shutting it down for the season after the ASG. Pretty crazy.

Don't know if anybody cares, but Bill Simmons is putting out short interviews with various All-Stars. They're a fun listen. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/b-s-report-2015-nba-all-star-weekend-special/

I probably will pass on watching the actual game (never that interested in general in AS games) I'll def watch the skills challenge now Bev is in it and wont miss the 3pt shoot out since its probably the most competitive field in years. The dunk contest - they are finally going back to the rules from when it was great so thats good. I am rooting for my fellow UCLA Bruin LaVine for sure but I think the dunk contest will be better this year than recent years (but not like 'amazing/great')
