I think we just got 2 2nds in the Atlanta deal and one 1st round swap right in the LAC deal.

“Marjanovic will earn roughly $1 million extra from the moves with the Rockets retaining his full Bird rights, while reducing his cap hold to a league minimum.”

Nice! My boy Boban getting a little extra dinero.

Individually, neither deal is amazing, but it's hard not to like the moves collectively (especially compared to some other trade deadlines over the last decade or so). They save $5 million for the offseason, improve their first round draft pick this year, get two decent second rounders the next two years and free up the logjam they had with guards and wings. Christopher, TyTy, Eason, Martin and Garuba all probably get more playing time.

Again, no one's calling this an A+ trade deadline, but I do like what Stone did today. It's way more than I would have given him credit for before the day started.

Cool so now I have a goal. I get to hope for the Clippers to be mediocre.
I get to watch JC and KJ flourish
Hopefully we can watch some Ja/Tari action and see them on the court at the same time.
I get to watch Vando in LA
I want Cam Johnson and Jordan Clarkson in the off season and hopefully we get a top 2 pick
    Looking forward

Basically this, but sub Gordon for Pena, and Bruno for Jeremy Giambi.

The pick swap seems like a pretty nice return for Gordon. If you go off the (very) old draft pick value chart from Kevin Pelton in 2017, the 18th pick is about twice as valuable as the 28th pick. So they probably got the equivalent back here of what they received for Christian Wood (#29), baking in the uncertainty that the west is incredibly muddled and that pick has some huge variance attached to it. Should the Rockets have taken a Thybulle/#23 package at the draft for Gordon? Considering the Sixers got De'Anthony Melton for #23, who would have been a hell of a 3rd guard to put next to KPJ/Green, and Jalen McDaniels for Thybulle, they probably lost out on value here again.

It's a bit unfortunate, but it's been a pretty common theme with Stone that none of his moves have been objectively bad in the moment, but have frequently felt like he has mistimed or misread how players' values are trending in the NBA.

Mostly garbage in, garbage out with mediocre picks/swap. However, removing Gordon's bad attitude and hopefully adding some veteran leadership in Green, Kaminsky and Holiday should be a net positive. Kaminsky especially feels like Olynyk 2.0.

I know trading Bruno or Garry M "frees up playing time" but you could have always just... not played them (or cut them, they're not guaranteed iirc).
