My fear all morning was seeing Dubon at 2b instead of Rodgers.

Pena had better spring training numbers than Smith. Pena seemed to have solved his "is that what a slider looks like?" problem. I'm irrationally optimistic as @Snake Diggit said earlier.

So we have 2 rookies in the out field............iono man

(Yes I know Altuve is not a rookie but I'm labeling him as a rookie in the OF)

I think I'm a little more hopeful about this season now than I was after the Tucker trade.

    IT'S OPENING DAY!

Didn't the Yankees sweep us at home in the opening series last year?

I’m in NYC - tough to be here and see everyone headed to the park in Yankees gear.

    Let’s go Astros! I believe!

If I recall right, we even started Alvarez out lower in the order until he was hitting too good to keep him that low.

Clay Holmes had a great spring. Let's knock his ass out early and put up some runs in the 1st. I'm optimistic this team could surprise and win 90+.

The potential energy of the lineup is a reason for optimism. A month ago it was looking like a bleak house. Today, we like it more. The staff is full of wildcards, with no consistent or consequential ace. The depth is strong, but it will be tested. This is not your Astros of old, but there is reason to look forward to the season. So let's kick this season off strong and see what the results are at the end of the year. Let's go!!

By midseason, we going to need you to do it again to ensure our potential good fortunes lasts through the whole season. =)

    All kidding aside, speedy recovery!

How many more do we need to fall through the roof to have a winning season? Who goes next?
