    Brown was doing so well with Diaz as his catcher. Don't understand why Maldy just had to be assigned to Brown unless Brown asked for Maldy himself. Other than that, it doesn't make much sense.

    It can always get worse. The decision to completely punt on pitching acquisitions outside of resigning Montero at a grossly inflated salary was dumb in the moment and without the benefit of hindsight.
