Lost his command completely. He's pitching like he was in Seattle.

With as bad as Martinez and Montero have been, I really hope they give Dubin some 1-2 inning appearances to see how he does. I thought he looked ok in his first 2 innings in his debut. He has a high ceiling as a RP if he’s 100% healthy. I also like Gage and Mushinski and wouldn’t mind seeing them called up again.

Brown needs to be calling up the Royals twice a day asking about Scott Barlow.... and the Cardinals every other day about Hicks and the White Sox about Graveman.

His location is bad. He is not consistently putting the ball where he wants it.... and then when he falls behind he ends up grooving pitches that one to Alonso - that ball was where Alonso would put the ball on a tee - as a result he is giving up 450 foot shots. They need to work on his mechanics and he needs to have a couple positive experiences so it isn't in his head.

My guess is that he doesn't want to accept an assignment, and maybe after today he will feel differently.

I truly believe only Toothpick plays him, all the other managers would not let Montero come near a lead. Absolutely no reason to play Dumpster fire in critical stretch. Should let him pitch the 10th so can be battle Harden.

I don't think that Diaz has ever faced a pitcher like Otavino.

He let the first one right down the middle go by him and then the 3rd strike was the same way.

Kind of crazy how the Astros are up 2 runs going into the 9th and I still expect them to lose.

Yup. A lot of games recently - taxed pen that isn't terribly effective right now - I am just trying to figure out who will have the error.
