For F's sake, I don't know how much longer I can take this. It's been meltdown after Lyon after meltdown this whole season.
I turn off the game up 4-0 with men on 1st and 2nd with nobody out in the 6th inning, and wake up to losing 6-4. This is getting so depressing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7B4gic1-qU The dude was sitting right in front of my wife and her friends. His brother-in-law/dad dared him to do it and offered to pay him $500 and bail him out of jail if he would, so he did it. The guy told my wife he actually played at SFA and the Astros were looking at drafting him, but they didn't. His name is Robert Paulse... I mean his name is Kevin Crabtree. I hope he got away and didn't get caught.

it didn't dissuade this guy...but we have no idea how many it dissuaded otherwise. i don't blame them for the policy. makes sense to me. i am glad someone taped this, though. so do we know if the guy ever got caught?
he did, unfortunately. my buddy asked a centerfield cameraman yesterday. apparently, he had a shot, but chose the wrong exit doors. they were locked. if he continued running further, he could have made it. $1500 fine. somewhat well-spent in this case i guess.
Unfortunately??? These folks need to be punished. Not only are they disrupting the lives of everyone in attendance (insert attendance joke here), they are jeopardizing the outcome of the game. Perhaps at this point in the season, you may say it is a meaningless game. I guess the early games in 2004 and 2005 were meaningless as well. This type of behavior doesn't appeal to me.
That doesn't make it right. I wonder how the players felt. I wonder how someone like Bill Spiers felt.
carlos lee was laughing his ass off, as were the thousands of fans. the fines/penatlies should be conditional. pay more if you are a jackass running around centerfield and get tackled and don't bring any originality. but for death-defying creativity where nobody gets hurt and everybody smiles and feels good afterwards like this one, no fine, and season tickets.
Carlos Lee should have been preparing for an important swing since he represented the tying run. The reliever should have been preparing for an important pitch. Unfortunately they were subjected to some clown running around on the field. So you were at the game and saw Lee laughing? I couldn't see that in the posted video.
