    How, then, did the Astros and Hampton beat Santana? Things don't always go according to the statistics.

    sheer luck, lol, oswalt and rodriguez will be the deciding factors in more series than hampton will.

    we got lucky against santana, what else can you say other than congratulations to hampton for not allowing 10 runs?

    Yeah because Hampton has given up 10 runs in soooo many games this year.

    The bottom line is that Hampton is a nice 5th starter. He is not a top to mid rotation guy anymore.

    What really sucks about these games is that the Mets have been pretty anemic on offense and for them to put up nearly 17 runs in back to back games is like lightning striking the same place twice.
