My sentiments exactly. It is so much more fun when your team is good.

Russ Ortiz is the weakest link.

At least got 1 run back. Ortiz needs to get his act together or this winning streak will end tonight.

I don't disagree with you necessarily, but who do we have to replace him in the rotation that will be appreciably better?

Maybe they finally call up Bud Norris? I doubt it happens, but why not give it a shot.

If Ortiz can't handle the weak-hitting mets, just imagine what other teams will do to him.

What exactly are people expecting from him? He has a 4.5 ERA, which is basically league average for starting pitchers. And he's the #5 pitcher!

In his last 8 starts since he was put back in the rotation, he's given up 3 runs or fewer 5 times, 4 runs twice (including today), and had one terrible 8 run start. He does have some trouble going deeper into games, but he's basically the definition of mediocre - which is more than enough for a 5th starter.

Well, that'll do it for the win streak.

Some managing would have been nice there. Francoeur hits lefties really well.

Why not intentionally walk him with a lefty on deck??

3 out of the 4 batters Ortiz walked ended up scoring a run.

They just showed Russ Ortiz talking about a talent he wishes he had. He should have said getting guys out.
