    the guy pretty much defines clutch. basically sacrificed his body to attempt and make that catch to save the game

    This pattern of getting the leadoff man on, bunting him to 2nd, then doing nothing is getting kind of old.

    I understand wanting to move the runner into scoring position but that was a horrible move by Garner imo. Bunting with Loretta made no sense at all. You took the bat out of the hands of your two better hitters on your team. And you rely on Ensberg to win the game?!!!! Someone needs to tell Garner its no longer 2005.

    Well, regardless of who wins this game, the pen has come in and done it's job. As of right now, they've pitched 8 1/2 scoreless innings. You can't ask much more than that.

    Of course, the Mets bullpen has pitched 8 scoreless innings as well.

    I agree...I hated that move. Ensberg did have a huge hit earlier in the game,but he's not the guy I want at bat with any type of pressure and the game on the line.

    What are the odds we start seeing pinch-hitting pitchers soon? Who hits well on the 'Stros? Roy? Too bad Backe isn't back! :)
