Tonight is pretty much what you can expect from this team next year, if they can't find a way to re-sign Andy/Roger (or find suitable replacements... which is doubtful). Now that Oswalt is re-signed, that becomes priority #1. You really only have to target Andy... once he's in the fold, Roger will follow.

Dont sweat it too much....we cant win every game....thats unrealistic....we battled and fell short cuz of Borkowski and Springer. SD is losing so we could still be 2.5 games back. Hopefully, we can get the next 2.
If you want to go be in the playoffs, you have to win these type of winnable games...There were in a position to win, but the Mets are good...
still 2.5 back. i was actually pretty encouraged. i assumed we would lose last night...but we played with them really well considering Wandy was our starter. i have no doubt that the Astros can beat the Mets in a playoff series with with Oswalt, Pettitte and Clemens.
The problem is that we are not chasing San Diego alone.....if we gain ground on them, we lose ground to other teams. For instance, no matter what happens tonight, the most we can pick up is 1/2 a game. And I will not feel comfortable until we are LEADING the wild card... We are technically 3 games out with 28 to play. DD
