Though the neck trim is only one of a few things I don't like about the way the home unis look when actually worn (the "candycane" look someone mentioned above being another), I really didn't mean for my post to be about race. I meant for it to be strictly about color coordinating a design, for which skin color, as it is an unavoidable element of the overall look, has to be considered. Skin color, people, not race. Just because I mention skin color, people automatically assume I'm talking about race? What do skin color and race have to do with one ano.....well... maybe my post really was about race then...? Ahhhhhhhhhhhh screw it. I give up. Don't let your door hit my arse on my way out. Quick, someone photoshop a Christmas tree with Rockets player ornaments.
looks like steve and jvg really hate each other. jvg is one dorky looking dude in that picture with him and steve and cuttino. i love the uniforms. i like how bright the white is and the road ones look better than i was remembering. very nice to have cool jerseys. i didn't hate the old ones as much as some, but they definitely weren't my thing and i wasn't wearing one in public. i probably won't wear this in public either b/c i'm 5'5 and jerseys look like dresses on me, but at least i can get more shirts and stuff with the same design or logo. and mo t really does look better. guess all that stuff about him working out hard before the injury wasn't BS. but he's still a bad tipper! damn it's nice to see all the players there, and all the actual good role players we have. the fact jim jackson is actually on our team finally hit home with that pic of all 4 new acquisitions and damn it's nice to have him. hell, i wasn't even phased by seeing ewing on the bench for us. a quality day.
The design on the shorts make them look huge for some reason. They just seem really big for some reason. I just have to get use to them, the Red ones do look a lot better.
While the new unis are 100% better then the PJs, it still has shortcomings. The more I think of it, the more it reminds me of the Comets unis. At least they have a little bit more color without being too tacky. Having just 2 predominant colors on the jerseys makes it kinda bland. They also remind me of college jerseys. Rich Lord actually said it reminds him of the Ohio State unis. Comparing pro jerseys to college jerseys doesn't bode well. It all spells out that the Rockets took the other extreme and played it safe and bland on the style this time around. I agree they should make the numbers and letters on the front larger. And what is the theme on the font? Is it suppose to have a robotic font like the numbers or the stylish font like the letters? They seem to clash. I wish they would have a 3rd color to the jerseys, how many teams just have 2 predominant colors? And they should have put that "R" logo in the front, it would definitely add character to the unis. And since the style of the unis is suppose to give a "sleek" look, fat dudes like Amaechi should be not allowed to wear it since they make the unis look bad.
the unis are too unique to any other team's in the league to say they went to the other extreme and just played it safe. i think they made it simple like people wanted with a little twist. like i said earlier, excellent.
Damnit, I was hoping they would be AWOL together, a package deal with those 2 would be so sweet. But, I do have to wonder, where is Cato? Trade, Trade, Trade, Trade, please, please, please, trade, trade, trade, and stop.
wah wah wah fonts too small! letters too high! collars too red! white too bright! shorts too big! blah blah blah what else...... red too red! stripes too stripey! sleeves too sleevy! inseam too in! jersey too jersey! forget it. these new uni's are dope!!! they're stylish yet simple, and like someone said, they're 50000000000000000000000 times better than the old ones. this is gonna be a f#@kin' great season. can't wait!
I still think they are missing a 3rd color. It just makes the uni look to feminine. Than again as long as they play like man beasts in these tutus, I could care less.

Cato was there. I repeat, Cato was there. I saw him with my own eyes on one of the sportscasts yesterday.
Just wondering if anyone else thinks the white uni's need something at the waist to break up the long expanse of white nothingness below the numbers and where there is finally some more color on the legs.. Do the shorts have a red trim at the waistline at least? since the red on the shorts only comes up halfway, they just still need *something* to balance out the blandness of all that snow-blindness-causing white.. of course, I love the new look overall, and for some reason the red ones do seem easier on the eyes, but maybe the white ones will seem better once we see them in some actual action.
